Intro to Programming with ROMI/FRC Code - Day Camp

Check back on February 1 for 2025 dates
Grades: 9-12

This programming workshop is designed for the absolute beginner. Participants will learn the fundamentals of Java programming language syntax that can be used for various applications. The syntax will cover declaring and using variables to create and use classes and objects. Several of the Java programming syntax learned will be demonstrated on a ROMI robot. Understanding how Java programming language is applied to a ROMI robot will give participants a leg up when programming an FRC robot that uses the same set of libraries (WPILib) as the ROMI robot.

Combat Robot Camp: Witch Doctor - Day Camp

Check back on February 1 for 2025 dates
Grades: 9-12

Do you like to watch robots battle? Have you ever dreamed of being on a robot battlefield? Six words: Combat Robotics, Witch Doctor, Ƶ. In this camp, participants build a one-pound (ant-weight) combat-ready robot. The kit includes all of the 3D files for ten robots, so you can 3D print spare parts, build a different robot, or start learning 3D modeling so you can continue to grow as a robot builder. Join a combat robot competitor and a Witch Doctor team member as they guide you through the build of your robot. Then, test your skills on the field against other robots!

Note: Participants will take the robot and kit home with them and have the basic game-ready supplies to start competing as a hobby.

Fee: TBD
