Technology Leadership
Are you a big-picture person, interested in identifying and applying technology to transform lives? Do you want to be prepared for the jobs of tomorrow?
In our Technology Leadership concentration, you will acquire the management skills you need while pursuing your own path picking up the technology skills to suit your own interests.
You will choose four approved electives that may include courses in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science, in addition to completing the core Management program. Courses like Industrial Robotics, Energy and the Environment, Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence.
This concentration will set you apart from graduates of business programs, as you will learn how to integrate the latest technological advancements into the workplace, from corporate missions to business strategy to your own management skills and approach. And you will have practiced how to do this in real jobs before you graduate.
That’s because the coursework is only half of the equation. Actually, a little less than half.
Each year, undergraduates spend 22 weeks on campus taking classes and 24 weeks working with an employer in the University’s Co-op program. Kettering graduates enter the job force with real world, hands-on experience in business working with partners such as Bosch Corporation, Ford Motor Company and LG Electronics.
Adding some technical knowledge and management skills will increase your marketability with well-established, larger tech firms as well as emerging tech companies. The bottom line? You will be better equipped to compete in a global economy increasingly dependent upon scientific and technological innovations.
